Our Commitment

ForgeDash Ltd is committed to making our website and application accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA standards and comply with the requirements of the Equality Act 2010.

We believe that every tradesperson — regardless of ability — should be able to manage their finances with confidence. We are continuously working to improve the accessibility of our platform.

Compliance Status

ForgeDash is partially conformantwith WCAG 2.2 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content may not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are actively addressing known gaps.

What We've Done

• Semantic HTML throughout for screen reader compatibility
• Keyboard navigation on most key screens
• ARIA labels on icon-only buttons and other interactive elements
• Sufficient colour contrast ratios on key text elements
• Alt text on meaningful images
• Descriptive link text (no "click here" links)
• Focus indicators on interactive elements

Designed for Phones First

ForgeDash is built to be used one-handed on a phone, so the mobile layout is the primary design rather than an afterthought:

• Every screen is designed to fit and stay usable from 320 px wide, with no sideways scrolling
• Buttons and other tap targets are at least 44 px, with space between them
• Nothing depends on hovering with a mouse — every control and piece of information is reachable by tap
• Layouts reflow to fit phones, tablets, split-screen and desktop

Known Limitations

We are aware of the following accessibility limitations and are actively working to resolve them:

• Some charts and data visualisations may not be fully accessible to screen readers — we are working on text-based alternatives
• Some older PDF exports may not meet full accessibility standards
• There is no "skip to main content" link yet, so keyboard and screen reader users must move through the navigation on each page
• Not all animations respect the "reduce motion" setting on your device yet
• Full keyboard navigation has not been verified on every screen

Assessment and Review

This statement was last reviewed in September 2026. It is based on a self-assessment by ForgeDash: a review of the code, supported by automated checks that run on every change, including layout checks at 320, 390 and 430 px phone widths.

We review and update this statement at least once a year, or sooner when significant changes are made to the platform.
